4. Data Sharing

We share your information only with: (a) verified service professionals assigned to your booking, (b) payment processors to facilitate transactions, (c) government authorities as required by Indian law. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

We employ industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), secure servers, and access controls. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We will notify you promptly if a data breach occurs.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NeedIt's platform, mobile application, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Platform Role

NeedIt is an online marketplace that connects customers ("Users") with independent service professionals ("Partners"). NeedIt does not directly employ service providers. We act as an intermediary to facilitate service bookings and ensure quality standards.

3. User Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Indian law. By using NeedIt, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Booking and Payment

• All bookings are subject to professional availability.
• The total shown at checkout is the amount charged for the booked service. Extra materials or extra work must be agreed with you before they are used.
• Payment is made online at booking through accepted methods (UPI, card, or net banking). A booking is confirmed only after payment succeeds.
• GST is applicable as per prevailing rates.

5. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate booking details and address information.
• Ensure safe access to the service location.
• Treat service professionals with respect.
• Not request services outside the agreed scope without re-booking.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users must not misuse the platform, post false reviews, harass professionals, or attempt to circumvent NeedIt's booking system to deal with professionals directly outside the platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

NeedIt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service outcomes. Our liability in any case shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific booking in question.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

1. When You Get a Full Refund

• You cancel before a professional is assigned.
• You cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled slot.
• No professional could be assigned in time. NeedIt then cancels the booking and refunds you automatically.
• NeedIt support cancels the booking.
• Duplicate payment was processed for the same booking.

2. Partial Refunds

• If you cancel after a professional is assigned and within 24 hours of your slot, a 20% cancellation fee applies to the service amount and the rest is refunded. For "as soon as possible" bookings this applies from the moment a professional is assigned.
• Tips are always refunded in full if a booking is cancelled.

3. Service Complaints and Non-Refundable Situations

• Bookings cannot be cancelled once work has started (after your Start OTP is used).
• If you are unhappy with completed work, use "Report a problem" on your booking or contact us within 24 hours with your booking ID. We review each case and may arrange a redo or a full or partial refund.
• Service disruption caused by a wrong address or details may not qualify for a refund.

4. Refund Timeline

• Cancellation refunds start automatically and go back to your original payment method.
• They usually reach your account in 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.

1. Customer Cancellations

• Before a professional is assigned: Free. Full refund.
• More than 24 hours before your slot: Free. Full refund.
• After a professional is assigned and within 24 hours of your slot: A fee of 20% of the service amount applies. "As soon as possible" bookings fall in this case once a professional is assigned.
• After work has started: The booking cannot be cancelled. Please use "Report a problem" instead.
• Tips: Always refunded in full.

2. How to Cancel

Open your booking on the NeedIt app or My Bookings on this website and choose Cancel. You will see your exact fee and refund before you confirm. You can also ask our support team on WhatsApp at +91 85679 40085.

3. Professional Cancellations

If a professional cannot make it, your booking is sent to the next available professional at no extra charge. If nobody is available in time, the booking is cancelled and you get a full refund automatically.

4. Repeated Cancellations

Accounts with a pattern of frequent last-minute cancellations may have booking privileges reviewed. This protects our professional partners' time and livelihoods.

5. Emergency Cancellations

We understand emergencies happen. Contact our support team immediately and we will waive cancellation fees at our discretion for genuine emergency situations.

Important Notice

NeedIt is a digital service booking platform. We do not ship or deliver any physical products. All services are delivered in-person at your specified address by our verified professional partners.

1. Service Delivery

When you book a service on NeedIt, a verified professional from our network will travel to your specified address at the scheduled time to deliver the service in person.

2. Service Area

Services are currently available within the city limits of Lucknow and select nearby areas. The availability of specific services may vary by location within the city.

3. Delivery Timeframes

• Scheduled bookings: Within the selected date and time slot (usually 2-hour windows).
• Emergency / urgent bookings: We aim to dispatch within 2–4 hours for available services.

4. Delays

NeedIt will notify you through the app and your booking page if there is any delay in service delivery. In cases of significant delay (more than 60 minutes), you have the option to reschedule or cancel at no charge.

5. Materials & Products

For services requiring materials (e.g., paint, plumbing parts, cleaning supplies), the professional will bring standard materials. You will be informed of material costs separately before work begins. If specific brands are required, please specify at the time of booking.

1. Professional Verification

All professionals on NeedIt undergo: Aadhaar identity verification, police verification check, in-person skill assessment, reference checks, and a mandatory onboarding orientation covering safety protocols and professional conduct.

2. During the Service

• Professionals carry NeedIt-verified ID cards.
• You can see your professional's name and rating on your booking before they arrive.
• Share your live location with a trusted contact during the service visit.
• Our support team can be reached anytime during a service.

3. Customer Safety Guidelines

• Verify the professional's NeedIt ID before allowing entry.
• Share your Start OTP only when your professional has arrived, and your Completion OTP only when the work is finished. Never share bank, card or UPI PINs or payment OTPs with anyone.
• Report any unprofessional behaviour immediately via the app or helpline.
• Ensure you or another adult is present during the service.

4. Incident Reporting

5. Professional Code of Conduct

Professionals who violate our safety or conduct standards are immediately suspended from the platform pending investigation. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct of any kind.
